Waste Management: Repurpose & Reuse Old Stuff

Have you ever wondered why things in this world are going out of style?

Have you looked around your neighborhood or out on the streets, and see so many things are being thrown away?

Have you thought about ever changing that and create it into something new?

It can be something spectacular, but we all just want to do is throw it away with no hesitation.

This brought me back when I was in high school and my teacher wanted us to enter in a recycle contest. She had some used materials in her classroom. I did the recycle contest two times and it was a blast.

First year, I made a flower. I use an old can, straw, scraps from a plastic bottle, spray paint, and a button. My second time doing this, I made a book from an old encyclopedia. I used paint, and glitter. I added some inspirational quote on certain pages, then I added paint and glittered on other pages. I loved it because it was unique and it was made by me. You can also do this on your own.

In my opinion, it is a lot more useful because you are saving the environment and everything around you.

You can go to the dumpster or somewhere and you can see a bunch of waste products just there and it can get into harm’s way. As we were younger, we always taught to reduce, reuse, and recycle. As we get older, we tend to get away from that, and throwing things away, and not thinking about the effects of it at all.

If you are a creative person, this shouldn’t be too hard for you at all. Even if you are not, you can practice having waste products and think of what you want to do.

There are a lot of ideas waiting to be made and shown to the world. When you think about it, you are showing it and putting it out there and letting the next person to see it. They like what you create, so they want to do the same thing just like you did.

To start off with something easy, you can find something that is old in your house and take it from there. Even if an old TV is not working, you can create something out of it.

Also, in your household, you can find magazine, or newspaper and make the newspaper or magazine out of a bowl. You can also use newspaper to make a basket.

You will need newspapers, scissors, stapler, and any other materials that you would want to add, for example a ribbon. Things are laying around our house is out there just waiting for you to pick up and get going with your inner creativity. You don’t want to throw it away, and let it mess up the Earth.

You want to make something out of it and use it for your everyday use.

Another example, if you are stuck would be any milk carton, or juice carton. You can cut that out and make a hexagon shape or pentagon shapes from it, and use it for a TetraBox Lamp. Overall, there are many life hacks to create with when it comes to waste products or materials.

Start with your home and look around. If you are still having trouble with what to create you can always go on YouTube and check out what they have.
